After graduation from Art and Design I worked as a staff artist for Alexander's Department Stores, Gimbels Department Stores and as a freelance artist for several advertising agencies and art studios before starting Al Massa Creative Enterprises in 1967.
Creative Enterprises engaged in servicing advertising agencies, art studios and industry with artwork consisting mainly of fashion photo retouching.

My exposure to fashion came to me early in life from my mothers side of the family. My grandfather was a tailor, my grandmother made flowers for hats, my mother was a dress maker and my sister graduated as a designer from (FIT) Fashion Institute of Technology in New York.

Creative Enterprises also provided me with the opportunity to go to school and pursue my interest in a verity of subjects. During my career I have owned a sub shop (I love to cook), a frame shop an art supply store, and an art gallery.
I have traveled all over the United States painting and in 1992 I traveled to Scotland with World Wide Sport Connection to paint golf courses. In 1993 I started teaching at FDR high school where I now teach Sculpture, Creative Metals and Glass Art.
